The Fukuda Art Museum opened in 2019 beside the Oi River in Arashiyama. Its collection of Japanese painting runs from the Edo period to modern times.
Galleries are compact and well lit, and there is a café and shop on site. It makes a calm stop between Arashiyama's busy sights.
What to see and do

2Café and shop
