With kids
Spa World
Spa World is a large bathing complex beside Shinsekai, with themed hot-spring zones (European on 4F, Asian on 6F, which swap between men and women each month) and an indoor/rooftop pool floor on 8F with water slides and a kids’ pool.
For families the 8F pools are the main draw: they are open all year with the water temperature adjusted to the season. There is also a new kids’ play space, Yuttamari, on 3F. Note the strict no-tattoo rule, which also covers stickers and body paint.
What to see and do
Amusement pool, Green Oasis warm pool and Roof Terrace, plus two big slides (Panic Tornado and the 70-degree Zoku Zoku Burn). There is an ¥800 unlimited pass for the kids’ slides.
A separate 8F pool for children up to 6th grade and their parents or guardians only.
Opened April 2026: a ball pool and play equipment for children 9 and under, and a toy and picture-book corner for 12 and under. It costs extra.
Themed bath zones, including Roman, Greek, Bali and Japanese stream-side outdoor baths.
Good to know
- Tattoos (including stickers and body paint) are not allowed anywhere in Spa World. In the pools, babies not yet out of nappies must wear swim diapers under a swimsuit, and children under 12 must be with an adult.
- Children of elementary-school age and younger must always be with a parent or guardian, and minors without a guardian must leave by 22:00. Outside food and drink are not allowed, so plan to eat at the in-house restaurants.
