About this home

Welcome to Toki no Yado Daikokuchō — a three-story traditional Japanese house in a quiet residential area, sleeping up to 8 guests. Perfect for families or groups. 📍 Location Located in a peaceful neighborhood in southern Osaka, the nearest station Daikokuchō (Midosuji Line / Yotsubashi Line) is about a 7-minute walk away. Imamiya and Ashiharabashi stations are also within walking distance, making it easy to get around. ⚡ At a Glance - 7 min walk to Daikokuchō Station - 4LDK, 61㎡, up to 8 guests - 3 floors, 3 traditional tatami rooms - Free high-speed WiFi 🚆 Access & Sightseeing From Daikokuchō Station, take the Midosuji Line directly to Namba, Shinsaibashi, and Umeda. Easy transfers to USJ, Osaka Castle, and Tsutenkaku Tower. 🌸 Neighborhood & Culture This is a typical Osaka shitamachi (downtown) area — no tourist crowds, just everyday life. In the morning, shop shutters roll up and the smell of fresh bread fills the air. In the evening, you'll hear laughter from locals at izakaya doors. Convenience stores and supermarkets are just minutes away, so late-night snacks are never a problem. There are also pharmacies and small eateries, including a halal restaurant and a curry bar. Staying here, you'll see how Osaka people really live — not from a guidebook, but the daily rhythm of the city. 🛏 Rooms The first floor has a living room, mini kitchen, tea room, and bath. The second and third floors have three tatami rooms, each with double futons; the third-floor room sleeps up to 4. With 2 toilets and 2 baths (one with a tub), even large groups can stay comfortably. 🛋 Amenities - Appliances: refrigerator, microwave, electric kettle, induction cooktop, rice cooker, washing machine, hair dryer - Kitchen: pots, dishes, dish soap - Bath: bath towels, face towels, slippers, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap - Hotel-quality toiletries (per person): toothbrush, tissues, toilet paper ⚠️ Note - This is a three-story house with no elevator and steep stairs. Please be cautious if you have heavy luggage or mobility issues. Ideal for families and groups wanting to experience Osaka's local life.

Felt right at home staying here, one of the main stations is near by and there is a grocery store. Host was kind, responsive, and accommodating to my needs. Plenty of beds for a family trip and it was a plus for my trip that there were two showers available. Would stay here again for my next family trip to Osaka!
