Walk over in the morning and the vermilion drum bridge stands quiet in the light; on the approach you mostly hear the sweep of a broom. Just past the gate, the clang of the Hankai tram grows closer — a streetcar that ambles through the old downtown, past houses with futons airing and potted plants by the door. On the way home, stop for coffee at Snow (about 1 min walk) or pick up sushi at Takesushi (about 4 min walk). In summer the Sumiyoshi Festival fills the streets with the Otaue ritual and a procession; at New Year this is one of Japan's busiest first-visit spots. There's no tourist crush here — just the unhurried feel of a Showa-era neighborhood. Convenience store 2 min away, supermarket 6 min. Stay a few days and it starts to feel like living here. 🛏Rooms 1F: Western room (2 single beds), bathroom with bathtub, washroom, laundry area, garage 2F: Living room, dining area, kitchen, toilet, balcony 3F: Western room (1 double bed), Japanese room 1 (3 single futons), Japanese room 2 (3 single futons) 🛋Facilities & amenities Appliances: TV (terrestrial + internet), washing machine, iron, fridge, microwave, electric kettle, rice cooker Kitchen: IH stove, pots, dishes, dish soap (no seasonings provided) Bathroom: bathtub, shower, hairdryer Hotel-grade disposables: toothbrush & toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, tissues, toilet paper, bath towels, slippers, hangers, first-aid kit (per guest) ⚠️Please note No elevator. Guests say
I used this with my 88-year-old mother. We were grateful that you prepared a room right next to the toilet. We will use this again when we visit nearby.
The landlord responded immediately, the service was excellent, and they would immediately call someone to bring over anything that was missing, no less than staying in a hotel!
Clean and fast
Good
Thank you for hosting
The house came with parking. The house is big enough for 4 of us. Got family mart about 100m from the house. Nice stay.
