About this home

Welcome to Tabitime Sumiyoshi Seiku — a two-story private house tucked into a quiet residential lane in Suminoe-ku, Osaka. ★Location About 6 min on foot from Sumiyoshi-Taisha Sta, and about 10 min from Suminoe Sta. This is not the busy city center but a real residential neighborhood. Play in town by day, come back to a calm street and sleep well at night — great value. ⚡Quick facts ・6 min walk to Sumiyoshi-Taisha Sta ・1LDK, two-story private house, up to 6 guests ・43㎡ ・Free high-speed WiFi ・Washer with dryer 🚆Access & sightseeing (by train from Sumiyoshi-Taisha Sta) ・Namba: about 20 min (direct) ・Shinsaibashi & Dotonbori: about 24 min ・Tsutenkaku & Shinsekai: about 18 min ・Tennoji: about 29 min (direct) ・Umeda: about 32 min ・Osaka Castle: about 36 min ・Osaka Aquarium (Kaiyukan): about 33 min ・USJ: about 34 min ・Kansai Airport: about 57 min ・Kyoto: about 73 min ・Nara: about 56 min ・Kobe Sannomiya: about 71 min ※All times are train ride times, not including walking to the station. 🌸Neighborhood & culture Two minutes to the left is Cafe Karin — in the morning you can sit by the window with a coffee and watch neighbors walk their dogs. A few steps on, the smell of grilled skewers drifts from Kushitora in the evening; Bistro La Mer and Grill Kojika are small spots locals actually use. The heart of this area is Sumiyoshi Taisha, head shrine of over 2,300 shrines nationwide, with nearly 1,800 years of history. Go early and the vermilion Sorihashi (Taikobashi) bridge is almost empty, light falling across its steep arc, your own footsteps the only sound. Pass through the torii and the clang of a Hankai tram drifts by — the ease of a Showa-era downtown layered over a millennium of prayer. Summer brings the Sumiyoshi Festival; New Year visits here are among the busiest in Japan, yet on ordinary days it is just a quiet neighborhood. Convenience store 2 min, pharmacy 3 min, supermarket 7 min — daily life is right at your feet. 🛏Rooms 1F: sofa bed D 2F: two D beds Sleeps up to 6 — good for families or small groups. 🛋Facilities & amenities ・Appliances: TV, washer with dryer, drying rack, hairdryer ・Kitchen: fridge, microwave, electric kettle, IH stove, pots, dishes, dish soap ・Bath: bathtub, shower ・Hotel-grade disposables (per guest): toothbrush & toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, tissues, toilet paper ・Towels, slippers, hangers, first-aid kit ⚠️Notes ・No elevator. The stay was very pleasant. The communication was very quick and friendly - our problem was helped with without any discussions. The accommodation was easy to find thanks to the photos, and because of the park and the proximity to Sumiyoshitaisha, one could also relax a bit.

What a super place. Really super clean and spacious for the money. Super nicely decorated too. Really recommended. If I lived in Japan, I would want to live in a house like this.
