This arcade isn't packed with tourists like Shinsaibashi — in the late afternoon locals come to buy dinner, choosing sashimi at the fish shop while the pharmacy and supermarket sit side by side. About 6 min on foot is Super Sanko Karahori, handy for picking up sashimi and fruit to bring back. A little south is Matsuyamachi, called "Matchamachi" by locals — an old wholesale street for dolls and toys, now mixed with small zakka shops. In spring you'll see cherry blossoms along the street; in summer it's Tenjin Matsuri season, with lanterns hung at nearby shrines. For food, Le Caneton is about 3 min on foot and Sushi Tokukuri about 4 min — places locals use every day.
