Sumiyoshi Taisha is about 0.9 km away. Walk the approach in the morning and you'll pass neighbors walking dogs and a priest sweeping leaves. In spring, locals spread blue tarps under the cherry trees at Sumiyoshi Park; in summer, wind chimes hang in the arcade and a small line forms at the shaved ice shop.
