Cup Noodles Museum Osaka Ikeda
The Cup Noodles Museum Osaka Ikeda is in the town where instant ramen was invented in 1958. Entry is free, and the exhibits tell the story of how Chicken Ramen and Cup Noodles came about.
Most families come for My CUPNOODLES Factory: you decorate your own cup, pick one of 4 soups and 4 of 12 toppings, and take it home sealed. Children 6 and over can also make Chicken Ramen from scratch in a reserved workshop.
What to see and do
Design your own cup and choose soup and toppings; ¥500 per cup, no age limit.
A 70-minute workshop kneading, steaming and flash-frying noodles, for ages 6 and up.
Exhibits are free; you only pay for the workshops.
About 20 minutes by express from Hankyu Osaka-umeda, then a short walk.
Strollers and babies
There is a nursing room in front of the restrooms near the museum entrance. Non-participants, including children under 6 in strollers or carriers, cannot enter the Chicken Ramen workshop room.
Good to know
- Arrive near opening on weekends and school holidays, as My CUPNOODLES tickets can run out.
- There is no eating space and food and drinks cannot be brought in, so plan lunch in Ikeda before or after.
