Nintendo OSAKA and Pokémon Center
Nintendo OSAKA and Pokémon Center Osaka share the 13th floor of the department store above JR Osaka Station (formerly Daimaru Umeda; Nintendo's and Pokémon's official pages now list the building as LUCUA South). Nintendo OSAKA is Nintendo's official store, with Mario, Zelda, Animal Crossing and Splatoon goods, and the Pokémon Center is next door.
These are shops rather than attractions, but for game-loving kids they are a highlight. Note that Pokémon Center Osaka DX and the Pokémon Café are in a different place, on 9F of Daimaru Shinsaibashi, about 15 minutes south by subway.
What to see and do
Nintendo's official store with character goods and games; entry is free.
Right beside Nintendo OSAKA on the same floor, so one trip covers both.
Themed café at Daimaru Shinsaibashi 9F alongside Pokémon Center Osaka DX; seats are web reservation only.
Everything is indoors and connected to Osaka/Umeda stations.
Good to know
- Go on a weekday morning right at opening to avoid numbered-ticket queues.
- Book the Pokémon Café as soon as reservations open for your date; walk-in seats are not offered.
