Culture loversFirst-timersRainy days
Yamamoto Noh Theater is a wooden noh stage in central Osaka, founded about a century ago and rebuilt in 1950. It is a Registered Tangible Cultural Property, and its polished black-wood stage has jars buried beneath it to help the sound carry.
It is known for making noh easy for first-timers. Its Tokuinoh shows add explanations, English subtitles and a short hands-on session, so you can follow the masks, slow movement and chanting even if you know nothing about noh.
