Step out and wander into Janjan Yokocho: old men hunched over shogi boards, office workers standing at tachinomi bars, young crowds queuing for kushikatsu, the smell of sauce and frying oil in the air. A few steps away is Spa World onsen; soak, then stroll the shopping street at dusk. Nearby, Kissaten Brother (about 5 min walk) is a classic Showa-era coffee shop—order thick-cut toast and coffee in the morning and listen to regulars chatting over newspapers. In spring, head toward Shitennoji-mae Yuhigaoka Sta for cherry blossoms; in autumn, the shopping street serves oden and warm sake. Supermarket Kodaira Asian Food (1 min walk) stocks Asian ingredients—cook a hot pot back at the house and gather with family and friends. That's daily life in Naniwa-ku. 🛏Rooms 1F: Bedroom 1 (double bed) 2F: Japanese room 1 (double futon), Japanese room 2 (single futon), Japanese room 3 (double futon) Sleeps up to 7. Mei is a very welcoming host and attended to all our needs and request. She’s quick to respond even when it’s past 10:00pm! The place accurately matches the pictures and descriptions that’s listed on their bnb page. All in all, the rooms were clean, we had our privacy, and it’s a close walk to the train station to get you going around Osaka for your vacation/travels! I highly recommend booking this Airbnb on your next Osaka trip!
Great stay at Mei’s! It was very central and near to the train station. Went to round 1 near dotonbori and was able to walk back easily in 20 mins at night. Fitted 5 people comfortably!
Convenient transportation, with a 711 nearby, Tsutenkaku Tower visible right outside the door, and plenty of dining options.
Very clean, everything was as described and the check in and check out process was smooth. Host also provided charging stations which was very convenient.
Very charming apartment with a nice mix of traditional and modern style. It’s within walking distance of the train station, shops, and restaurants. The host was very responsive and helpful.
We really enjoyed our stay at Mei's place. It was perfect for our group of 4. Any moree than 5 and I think you'd feel squished if you all had luggage. The space was very clean though there were some cockroaches that must've gotten in from the outside. The shower upstairs was great and convenient, as were the sinks. The location was really good. So close to 7-11, Life superstore, and the station. Mei is very responsive and helpful. The only thing is I wished there were more visuals. We had a hard time finding the door, and we also didn't see when they had kindly replenished our toilet paper stock. The door is a bit hard to open and close. My senior mother could not open or close it on her own. Other than that, I was very grateful for this space and would definitely recommend it. Thank you, Mei!
