A short walk brings you to the Gojo Ohashi area, where schoolkids and dog-walkers pass in the late afternoon. Gomashoten, about 6 min away, is a tiny local supermarket handy for cooking in. What makes this area special is how the seasons show up. In spring the weeping cherries around Kiyomizu-dera bloom early; walk up Gojozaka and branches lean out from the machiya eaves. During Gion Matsuri in summer, the hoko-cho streets near Shijo stay lively late, yet back in Higashiyama it goes quiet again right away. In autumn, Kodaiji's evening illumination is worth the trip — red leaves reflected on the stone paving, people in kimono drifting past. From Kiyomizu-Gojo Sta, Gion is about 5 min by train and Fushimi Inari about 10 min direct. Walk the thousand torii gates in the morning, have nishin soba in Gion at noon, and watch maiko hurry to their teahouse in Hanamikoji at dusk — a day that actually fits together when you stay here. 🛏Rooms 1F: Japanese-style bedroom (3S), bathroom, toilet, washer with dryer 2F: Living room (2S extra bed), kitchen, dining area, water bar 3F: Bedroom 🛋Amenities Appliances: internet TV, fridge, microwave, electric kettle, IH stove, hairdryer, iron, drying rack Kitchen: pots, dishes, dish soap Bath: bathtub, shower, bathroom dryer Hotel-grade disposables (per guest): toothbrush & toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hand soap, tissues, toilet paper, bath/face towels, slippers, hangers, first-aid kit ⚠️Please note No elevator.
