About this home

Welcome to "Konayuki no Yado," a quiet residential retreat where you can have this entire 2-story machiya (traditional townhouse) to yourself. 📍 Location 8 min walk from Toji Station, 13 min from Kyoto Station, in a peaceful residential area. Play hard by day, sleep soundly at night. ⚡ At a Glance ・Nearest stations: Toji Sta (8 min walk) / Kyoto Sta (13 min walk) ・Sleeps up to 7|2DK|80㎡ ・2 bedrooms, 2 toilets ・Free high-speed WiFi 🚆 Getting Around From Kyoto Station, you can reach Kyoto's highlights almost directly: ・Fushimi Inari Taisha: about 5 min by train (direct) ・Arashiyama: about 16 min (direct) ・Kiyomizu-dera: about 18 min (direct) ・Gion & Yasaka Shrine: about 20 min (direct) ・Kinkaku-ji: about 40 min (direct) ・Umeda/Osaka Sta: about 29 min (direct) ・Nara: about 45 min (direct) ・Kansai Airport: about 80 min (direct) 🌸 Neighborhood & Culture This is the gateway to Kyoto. The five-story pagoda of Toji Temple is just a short walk away — catch its silhouette stretching in the morning light, or the crows circling at dusk. On the 21st of every month, Toji hosts the famous Kobo-san market, where locals hunt for antiques and eat from street stalls. Two convenience stores are within a 3-min walk, and drugstores and supermarkets are nearby, so daily needs are covered. For a taste of Kyoto's modern side, head to Kyoto Station with its department stores, restaurants, and cafes; but the streets around the house are narrow, lined with old wooden homes, and you'll hear the occasional bicycle bell — a truly local scene. 🛏 The Space 1F: Bedroom 1 (2 single futons), dining area, kitchen, laundry nook, bathroom (shower + tub), washbasin, toilet. 2F: Bedroom 2 (2 single beds, 1 extra futon available), toilet. Plenty of room for families or groups. 🛋 Amenities ・Appliances: TV (internet), fridge, microwave, electric kettle, IH stove, washing machine, hair dryer ・Kitchen: pots, dishes, dish soap ・Bath: bath towels, hand towels, slippers, shampoo, conditioner, body soap ・Hotel-grade toiletries (provided per person): toothbrush, toothpaste, tissues, toilet paper, etc. ⚠️ Note ・No elevator in this property. Please be mindful if you have heavy luggage or mobility concerns. Perfect for families, friends, or anyone wanting a convenient base near Kyoto Station.

Close to Kyoto station and a 10-15 mins walk after arriving on Shinkensen. Food choice at and around station. was expecting train noise as other reviewers but it was not bad at all. Easy to catch buses too.
