This is a shitamachi — a downtown neighborhood with covered shopping streets, no tourist rush. Kissaten Himawari (about 2 min walk) opens early; order thick-cut toast and coffee, sit by the window and watch the neighbors walk their dogs. Oka-no-Ie (about 3 min walk) is a small local spot where the noren curtain glows at night and the miso smell of oden drifts out. In spring, cherry blossoms line the walk from Hanazonocho Sta to Tengachaya Sta. In summer, lanterns hang in the shopping street and you can hear festival drums in the evening. It's not loud, but it's fast to everywhere — see the old Shinsekai signs at Tsutenkaku, grab takoyaki in Dotonbori, then come back, buy a cold beer at the convenience store, and sit on the 2nd-floor balcony in the breeze. 🛏Rooms 1F: living room, dining area, kitchen, washbasin, laundry space, bathroom (with bathtub), toilet. 2F: Japanese room 1 (1 double bed + 1 single bed), Japanese room 2 (1 double bed + 1 single bed), balcony. 🛋Amenities Appliances: TV (terrestrial + internet), fridge, microwave, electric kettle, rice cooker, hot plate, washing machine, hairdryer. Except for getting a bit lost during check-in, it was the best accommodation and experience.

We had a wonderful stay at Mei! The place was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, and it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The location was excellent and very convenient for exploring Osaka, with easy access to transportation, restaurants, and nearby attractions. We especially appreciated how quiet and comfortable the place was after a busy day of sightseeing. The host was friendly, responsive, and very helpful throughout our stay. Everything was well organised, making check-in and check-out smooth and hassle-free. We stayed here as a family and truly enjoyed our experience. We would definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone visiting Osaka and would happily stay here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
