About this home
Welcome to Green House Kujo! ★Location In a quiet residential neighborhood of Nishi-ku, Osaka. The nearest station is Kujo Sta, about a 5-minute walk, and Nishikujo Sta is about an 11-minute walk — easy access for getting around. This isn't a busy downtown area but a local residential district: play out during the day, then return to a calm spot for a good night's rest, with great value for money. ⚡Quick facts ・Kujo Sta: about 5 min walk / Nishikujo Sta: about 11 min walk ・Entire house, 3LDK, up to 8 guests ・136㎡, 2nd–4th floors of a 4-story building ・3 bedrooms, 2 toilets, 1 bathtub + 1 shower ・Free high-speed WiFi 🚆Getting around From Kujo Sta you can easily take the train to major spots. USJ (Universal Studios Japan) is about 3.7 km away and Dotonbori about 2.9 km — both are iconic Osaka destinations. Spend a full day at the theme park or enjoy eating your way through Dotonbori; both are easy to arrange. 🌸Local culture The area's real charm is its unhurried rhythm of life. About a 1-minute walk brings you to "Cafe Bon Sejour," and about 3 minutes to "Kissa En" — starting the morning with thick-cut toast and coffee at a kissaten is the most ordinary Kansai routine. There's also a Chinese grocery, "Yuka Chuka Bussan Kujo," about 1 minute away, and "Jetsu Bussan Kujo" about 5 minutes, handy if you want to cook. Pharmacies "Kirara Yakkyoku" (about 1 min) and "Meishodo Yakkyoku" (about 2 min) cover any sudden needs. Stroll toward Nishikujo in the evening and you'll reach "Suisei Sushi" in about 9 minutes, and "Takoyaki Sakaba Konamon-ya Hachi Nishikujo Ekimae" in about 10 — sit at the counter with fresh takoyaki and a beer, watching regulars chat with the owner. That's everyday life in downtown Osaka. In spring, cherry blossoms appear in the small corner park, and local families spread picnic sheets beneath them; on summer evenings, the smell of oden and fried food drifts from the convenience store entrance. Here you'll catch the slow-motion moments of Osaka that tourists walk right past. 🛏Rooms ・2F: living room, kitchen (with dishwasher), dining area, toilet ・3F: 2 Western rooms (1D/2D), bathroom (bathtub + shower), toilet, laundry area ・4F: Japanese room (2 single tatami beds), terrace With 3 bedrooms across different floors, even larger groups can sleep comfortably. 🛋Amenities ・Appliances: TV (terrestrial + internet), washer with dryer, bathroom dryer, drying rack ・Kitchen: fridge, microwave, electric kettle, IH stove, pots, dishes, dish soap (seasonings not provided) ・Bath: shampoo, conditioner, body soap, hair dryer ・Hotel-grade disposables: toothbrush & toothpaste, hand soap, tissues, toilet paper, bath/face towels, slippers, hangers, first-aid kit — provided per guest ⚠️Please note There is no elevator; access is by stairs. Amazing location, clean accommodation, and a friendly responsive host! Just note there are steep stairs that would not be suitable for those less able-bodied. 5-star stay, would recommend!
The dilemma of finding a place to stay in Osaka is always a series of tradeoffs. A lot of people will stay near Dotonbori but I think it's too crowded, expensive, and accommodations are small. I opted to stay at Mei's place in the Nishi Ward and it worked out well. It's a five minute walk down a quiet shopping arcade to a couple of major lines. The place is HUGE. After staying in cramped business class hotels or tightly packed Airbnb's, it was nice to be able to spread out for a few days. Toilets on the first two floors, a huge shower/tub space that doubles as a clothes drying room and sauna (although we never used the sauna). A unique sun room on the top floor. The one issue to be aware of are the steep and narrow stairs. If you have large and heavy luggage, it's not easy getting up the first flight of stairs. I've encountered steep and narrow stairs in nearly all the Japanese Airbnb's I've stayed at. If you can get over this issue, then the benefits outweigh this concern.
Good!
Location is great, near the Kujo train station and many food options. House has plenty of space to relax. One bedroom didn’t have air conditioning but we just left that door open, so no big deal. I rated 4 stars because the Wi-fi didn’t work for us (on our personal devices and living room TV) which caused issues with our data plan. Other than that, great place!
Thank you! Nice and clean!
It was a spacious and comfortable stay. I felt very cozy. I especially liked the fluffy carpet, sofa, sunny sunroom, and the bathroom with a jet bath and TV.
