About this home
Welcome to Kobanare ("Little Yellow Building")! 📍Location In Nishinari, Osaka — about 2 min walk to Dobutsuen-mae Sta and 7 min walk to Shin-Imamiya Sta. This is the Shinsekai area at the foot of Tsutenkaku: lively by day, quiet at night. Direct trains to Namba and Umeda make it great value. ⚡Quick facts ・Dobutsuen-mae Sta: 2 min walk / Shin-Imamiya Sta: 7 min walk ・1 bedroom, ideal for small families or friends ・Free high-speed WiFi ・From Shin-Imamiya Sta: Namba 11 min direct, Shinsaibashi/Dotonbori 14 min direct 🚆Access & Sightseeing From Shin-Imamiya Sta by train: ・Tennoji: about 2 min (direct) ・Tsutenkaku/Shinsekai: about 9 min (direct) ・Namba: about 11 min (direct) ・Shinsaibashi/Dotonbori: about 14 min (direct) ・Osaka Castle: about 15 min (direct) ・USJ: about 18 min ・Kaiyukan: about 19 min ・Umeda: about 22 min (direct) ・Nara: about 40 min (direct) ・Kansai Airport: about 50 min (direct) ・Kyoto: about 51 min ・Kobe Sannomiya: about 50 min 🌸Neighborhood & Culture Step out and 2 minutes later you're under the red steel of Tsutenkaku. Shinsekai is the birthplace of kushikatsu. At dusk, lanterns flicker on in Janjan Yokocho, shogi boards appear on the pavement, and the smell of sauce drifts from standing bars. It's not polished like Shinsaibashi, but it has the grit and warmth of the Showa era. For breakfast, try Hanamizuki (3 min walk) for a set meal, or grab seasonal fruit at Super Tamade (4 min walk) — the price tags always make you take two packs. For okonomiyaki, head to Okonomiyaki Hayashi (8 min walk). For a soak, nearby Spa World is where locals unwind with a cold bottle of milk afterward. In spring, cherry blossoms at Tennoji Park are just two stops away; in autumn, the shopping street under Tsutenkaku dresses up for Halloween; in winter, illuminations glow. Staying here, you see how Osaka people actually live — not a performance for tourists, but real life. 🛏Rooms 1 bedroom, suitable for 2-3 guests. Please refer to photos for bed type. 🛋Amenities ・Appliances: Hairdryer ・Bath: Shampoo, conditioner, body soap, bath towels/hand towels, slippers ・Hotel-grade disposables (per guest): Toothbrush & toothpaste, hand soap, tissues, toilet paper ・Other: Hangers, first-aid kit ⚠️Notes No elevator. If on a high floor, guests with large luggage or mobility issues should take note. Perfect for travelers who want to experience Osaka's downtown vibe with easy transport access.

Guests say
Comfortable, convenient, and affordable. The staff are all Chinese, and it's women-only. I had just arrived in Japan and wasn't used to the environment yet, but at the hostel I could feel completely relaxed, like being at home. Tsutenkaku and Don Quijote are right next door, so it's very convenient if you want to go shopping or eat! Recommended!
Cozy Retreat is an apt name for this accomodation. I had a very comfortable stay here. The area is easily accessable. That said, if you have mobility issues the stairs and actual room set up may be a problem; as you need to hoist yourself up to the top bunk. That said, it's well designed and women only. If I ever visit Japan again I would like to stay again.
It's good, but the shared shower room is a bit small. Considering the value for money, I'm very satisfied. The location isn't bad either, and I'd recommend it as a solo travel accommodation.
Very good accommodation, it is very well located and has everything nearby.
Great privacy, easy check-in, close to the station, would come again if I have the chance.
I had a great stay! the place was very clean, cozy, and comfortable. The location was excellent, just a few steps from the train station and within walking distance of Tsutenkaku. Everything was convenient, and I enjoyed my time in Osaka. Highly recommended!💖💖💖
